The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Presents
Man & Woman of the Year
Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.
The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the Year.
While LLS continues to monitor national and local developments, one of our highest priorities is the well-being of our Man & Woman of the Year participants, teammates, staff, volunteers, donors, partners and the patients we serve – especially as many blood cancer patients are immunocompromised.
For this reason, our organization has decided to transition our in-person Man & Woman Grand Finales to a virtual format.
While there is absolutely no substitute for an in-person celebration, we look forward to tapping into our long history of innovation and creative thinking to create an experience that recognizes our participants in the most meaningful way possible right now.
Our 2020 Fresno campaign kicked off on February 27th and will culminate with a virtual Grand Finale celebration on Thursday, July 23rd. For more information regarding event details, sponsorship, to nominate a candidate, or to join a candidate’s team, please email Nicala.Allen@lls.org. We hope you will join us in this fight against cancer!
Congratulations to our 2019 Man of the Year, Eric Dewey & 2019 Woman of the Year, Erika Salinas!
