The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Presents
Man & Woman of the Year
Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States, including right here in Buffalo. Candidates will form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are Leukemia & Lymphoma survivors.
During the 10-week competition ,that begins on April 3, 2020, Man & Woman of the Year candidates will each put their best fundraising foot forward in honor of two courageous children, our Boy & Girl of the Year. The title "Man or Woman of the Year" is awarded to the candidate whose team raises the most funds during the 10-week period. This exciting effort and campaign will culminate with a “Grand Finale” gala taking place June 6, 2020.
While childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of any blood cancer, it is also still the number-one disease killer among children under the age of 20. This needs to change, and we know that as we come together we will find a cure, not someday, but today!
Congratulations to all 2019 Man & Woman of the Year candidates and team members. We are currently accepting nominations for 2020 candidates. For additional information please contact your local chapter Campaign Manager, Sara Serafin-Wiese.
