The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Portland & SW Washington Presents the 17th annual
Man & Woman of the Year
Man & Woman of the Year is a philanthropic competition to support cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors.
The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the year.
The 2020 Man & Woman of the Year Candidates in Portland went above and beyond during an unprecedented fundraising season raising over $291,000 in just 15 weeks!
Our 2021 Candidate Class has set a goal to more than DOUBLE that total in only 10 weeks!
Between March 6th and May 15th, 2021, these Community Leaders will raise funds for a world without blood cancers. The man and woman candidates who raise the most funds during the 10 week campaign will be awarded the titles Portland Man & Woman of the Year at a Virtual Grand Finale on May 15th, 2021. The local winners are then entered into the competition for National Man & Woman of the Year titles.
