Man & Woman of the Year
Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.
The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the National Man & Woman of the Year.
2020 MWOY Recruitment has started! Are YOU up for the challenge? The NYC Chapter is ready to reach new goals for this 2020 campaign. We are looking for local community members and professionals who are enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership.

Meet the Winners
In 2019, the NYC Chapter held its 9th MWOY campaign. Candidates and their teams collectively raised $1.12 million for a cure.
Dani Frisch Harkin earned the title of NYC Woman of the Year with a fundraising total of $168,979.89. And Sahm Cho earned the title of NYC Man of the Year with a fundraising total of $143,203.37.
