The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Presents

Man & Woman of the Year

Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States.  Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.

The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community.  The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the year.

Due to the recent developments of COVID-19, the 2020 Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale was held virtually on June 13th.  Our dedicated class of 14 candidates raised an incredible $243,019 for the LLS Mission.

Congratulations to Savannah’s 2020 Woman of the Year, Cathleen Barela of Keller Williams Realty and Man of the Year, Jeff Maine of Proudly and to runner ups Christie Wallace-Bergen of Austin Hill Realty and Rob Sparks of First Citizens Bank.  The Mission Integration Award was given to Emily Bailey of Preciball USA and the Community Involvement Award was given to Christie Wallace-Bergen.
